importing is a great idea. ad Ben wont steer you wrong.....just remember tese cars are expensive to run and keep $5000 aside for minor and major problems....Dont forget to purchase warranty from Ben as well go for the 3 year one. shadow
Are you serious !!!! An 89 roller for $26K And the resale value is allegedly around $82-92K ... The closest thing in carsales.com.au is an 88 Silver Spirit for $45K Factor in the RHD conversion and you'd still make money ... of course the import roll royce market is likely to be a precocious one...and things like distributors cost over a grand to replace ... try chasing down parts for this baby!!!!!!!! Can you imagine a TT in a roller:sick:
Buying local can have it's advantages........ as stated elsewhere in this thread you get to see, touch, smell & fully check out the car (appearance & mechanical), even test drive. A lot of the local cars (especially forum members) have been fully sorted, & are raised to a much higher standard than when they were imported. Most will have had their 100k service done & under plenum hoses removed, as well as a number of other tweaks that every zed owner has to do sooner or later. Everybody says to have at least $5K in your kitty if you import (to do the normal zed things in your first 12 mths), but if you buy local then paying that extra $5K will put you a mile infront because you will be able to use your zed for that 12mths instead of spending most of your time running around to workshops & spare part outlets. Nobody tells you how many hundreds of hours of their time is spent in organising that $5K of expenditure. Import or not, it's a personal choice but sometimes the perceived savings from importing can quickly evaporate.:zlove:
A TT in a roller.... aka a Bentley Turbo R 6.7L V8 Twin Turbo, they're awesome. One of our agents in Japan bought one for a client, he was telling me how tons of torque in a 2+ ton body apparently just bakes the wheels at lights because they're so heavy they don't move, just spin the rears. Put on some 20's and a blow off valve... I could drive it It was a RHD by the way. Ben
