Hey guys, just after some info, tried searching but I get every single thread that has the word throttle in it so sorry if it's been talked about previously but I couldn't find it :(

What are the advantages of a set of larger throttle bodies? Increased flow? Is that all? Any other benefits? Pros/Cons?

    Any advice welcome :)

    Thanks guys

same as everything to do with a engine... more air=more fuel=more power.

lets in more air, simple as that... no cons to my knowledge. mind you they only bore out to like 55mm from 50mm so not much a gain either, up to you.

Might sound od but from flow bench tests found they do not do much. Going from twin factory 50mm throttle bodies to twin 55mm throttle bodies which collectively is a big jump, but in reality or at least on flow bench test which is a good indicatior, it only makes a few cfm of difference. Not worth the cost. We used to think they would be good for power but after flow bench testing found the power is found elsewhere and money better spent elsewhere. By the way my zed race car now runs stock throttle bodies and recently made 438rwkw so....

    lol well there you go!

no point in ignoring what john says considering he was most likely going to get them bored out through UAS.

nice to see john still caring for us like allways.

I tell it as it is

Sometimes I don't go with the flow as I won't if it is wrong and can clash with some but will not change. I just tell it as it is.

We sell them and from what I have seen no one else in the world does this 55mm size only 53mm for Z32s. Although as mentioned they don't do much and I tell people this if they enquire and some still want. We just received an order for a set actually today.

The only thing I did to my throttle bodies is put them in the lathe and machine the leading inner edge to have more of a taper and also carefully linish the thread that sticks out on the back of the bolts that bolt the butterfly.
