Thoughts of making a custom hatch, is this legal?

I plan on making this rear end for my Z (keeping Nissan oem taillights in the design) and want to go as far as creating a new hatch for it also.

After doing some research I found that I cant cut tampered (safety glass required by law) glass into the shape of ovals like the picture, but I can design a flatter hatch (in 3D) and just overlap over the Civic windows. Any legal problems with this?

Note* the window hatch will have to stay under a few hundred dollars so I cant get custom work.

in all honesty we are the last people to ask, not just because of the general lack of interest most here have with your product, but because not only are we about as far from your location as we can get. Hence have no real idea on your laws and regulations, you also would want to have some sort of hard copy of the appropriate laws from your jurisdiction for reference so if asked to provide evidence of your design meeting it you can, not just say "oh some aussie chap on the net said I could do this."

 

Indeed I was provided with the Canadian laws in the link below, but would like to know the ones on your side of the world since Im marketing my kit internationally.
Any ZX hatch conversion threads would be useful.

Its harder then it looks honey, you may have experience designing Barbie dresses, but I doubt you could ever put together somethings as nice as this concept I made for the Zed.

 

you will need then to research the ADR compliance regulations and meet whatever requirements they specify, as you are looking at a multiple release type kit as opposed to a one off I doubt they will allow it as an individually constructed vehicle and as such you have other requirements to meet as well.

Please note I am not a fan of your work, I am just trying to point out you are yet again approaching the job from the wrong tangent and the end result will mean more flaming and little if no useable info for you.
