    Kalus Finally dug myself out

JWT have an installation pdf for their Sport 700BB turbos. It shows a few minor modifications to fit, but the interesting thing is the adapter they've used for the intake pipe. Look at the picture, bottom left here. An option to cutting and rewelding the intake pipe in the right spot.

They look expensive, It only took 30 minutes to unbraze the rings of the inlet pipes. The result is like factory.

I spose to the guy with more money than time or tools this is good.

    Hey Graham

Hows the turbo install going? Any news with the mass producing those fabricated plates for the wastegates? Also is there anychance of modifications for the intake pipe on an exchange basis?

    Cheers

Well I will tell you where I am up to

My situation is that I have to finish the project car before i will contemplate pulling the engine out.

I want to get it registered and run it for a month or so So that I know there is nothing else wrong with it after the crash.

Once I am happy, Then I can plan the engine pull out and turbo retrofit.

Further to that I have been buying parts. After seeing the hoops THZX had to go through replacing the actuators etc.

I decided not to buy the HKS actuators. I decided to go external waste gates.

By the time I bought the actuators for $350 then had to buy or make dump pipes. It worked out about thje same price to go extrenal dumps.

The actuator on the drivers side is a nightmare to fit and you have to hack the engine mount. In all it is too tight IMHO.

The external gates gates can be fitted down the dump a fair bit. But of course needs custom pipes.

All this is on my list of things to do. First off I have to finish the car. the next step is the respray. The weather has been too festy to any prep or painting of late so I am waiting for the weather to improve.

That is what I am up to.
