Hey All, Well today i fitted a new gt wing to the z was all very simple BUT during making sure there were no objects that i could drill through i found something odd, its located under the plastic skin at the bottom of the hatch door and slightly to the right of centre. It looked like a big magnet at 1st held in by to bolts about the size of a small pecil case say.. once i had it of i tried sticking it to metal objects but had no magnatism at all, there were no wires attached or anyhing for that matter.. so im stumped as to its purpose although i suspect it could be a weight to keep the hatch raising to quick and then on that assumption i decided to keep it out...less weight... well if anyone knows exactly what that is i wouldnt mind knowing . I believe it is there......>> To balance the hatch by offsetting the weight of the wiper motor. Removed mine years ago.
