The Haltech E11V2 looked good on paper.
It was advertised and supported by email enquiries to have a link cable that gave a plug and tune and play aspect.
It was manufacture locally so should give better backup and warranty than imported or even interstate products.
I chose to have it installed by an authorized agent to optimize success and have an established communication with the manufacturer.
My installer had never installed this model ECU on this model car.
I had the indication of inadequacy when my turbo timer turned the engine off immediately but kept the cluster warning lights on for 2 minutes.
A MAP sensor that worked to 15psi was installed even though my AVCR was set to 1.1 bar (16psi).
The link cable was labeled as R32 -R33 but may be ok.
The power of the engine, with installed unit, was good but not all was well.
I installed the software on my laptop and connected to the ECU.
OK; so 18 aux .outputs-, 6 for Injectors, 6 for Ignition, 1 Tacho, 1 BAC (idle control), 1 turbo wastegate, 1 VTEC, 1 aircon, 1 Engine Control Relay.
The turbo wastegate was not enabled as I had an Apexi AVCR and the VTEC was not enabled for no reason I can think of.
No anti-pollution solenoids were connected but more importantly no voltage control for the fuel pump(three values for TT, 2 for NA) or the thermo fan (2 speeds for TT 1 for NA).
The wiring diagram supplied by Haltech to troubleshoot was wrong.
This is a nice computer that if it just had more outputs would be very good.
I have installed additional relays, adjusted the software, rewired the harness and built- up the upper cooling manifold to allow tapping and installation of thermo switches.
The system is now adequate but I cannot utilize other nifty outputs such as Nos or Anti-lag or water injection activation.
This is an otherwise good computer that even though advertised otherwise, does not meet basic Z32 street engine needs.
If you were not technically aware then you may be deceived into thinking this product, as supplied, is adequate.
I now have extinguished most of my enthusiasm and all of my money and have a system that is excellent on power and just usable on other outputs.

If I were to purchase another aftermarket ECU I would ask for a list of wired or maximum potential inputs and outputs, and a wiring diagram to check on the previous information.

If the product does not do what you want then don?t purchase.
If the supplier has a history of supplying items that do not work then reconsider your purchase regardless of claims.

These are the reasons I dumped the microtech and went back to the stock ECU. Pity you could get the zem up and running. Hope I have better luck.

for a street car, you would be better off going for a piggy back aftermarket ECU like the Haltech Interceptor, which retains the stock ECU, so you can have both more flexibility in engine tune AND retain stock functions like climate control etc.
