care to explain alittle more? what information is missing? if you are talking about me not adding everyone who posts there timeslip on the forum - well, unfortunatly i cant be on the forum 24/7 checking for new slips! the idea behind the list is simple - want to be on it, submit your slip.... its not really that complicated!! so, the list isnt credible because im only adding people who submit there slips... in your infinite wisdom what do you suggest? ::Risk::

Didn't get a time slip......>> My 1/4 mile was recorded at the Geelong Speedtrials last year, and is available on the official website. They unfortunately don't care about reaction time, 60' or MPH. Interesting also to note that my 1/4 mile also included a corner, which makes it a little unique. I'll sit back and see how many people want to have a go at getting that thrown off the list now.

OK! My comments were about the list, not about individuals. My fault for not being more long-winded (like some others I could mention). I was commenting on the fact that a listing which doesn't truly reflect the current position accurately, has no credibility as a list. I was not, and did not, make any comments about any of the people associated with production of the list. Anyone who thinks otherwise is badly mistaken (read what was written, not what you imagine was written). Sorry for any misunderstanding Risk (and FranZ). Lloyd
thats fine chili... but i still would like to know what your point is? care to explain some more? in a perfect world maybe EVERYONE on the forum would be listed... but not every 300zx in oz that has run down the 1/4 is a member of the association... so even with a list of say 100 zed times, im sure there will still be outsiders who have times to take the top spots... if you can think of a better way of having the drag list other than only listing people who submit there times.... im all ears! otherwise - you really have no basis to comment on the credibility of the list.... ::Risk::
Dunno Chili, looks like it fits the criteria to me. It's being put up as a service, and I believe I read that it was stated that it was the driver's responsibility to supply details and evidence. No supply details, not on list. Now, you could have been positive, and searched and supplied the timeslips and details to Risk yourself, but you didn't - that would have been a more positive way to resolve things, wouldn't it?
lol all i remember in hpi is datsun 1200s (obviously powerful ones) running nankangs with 1.6 60ft times or even less. I dont care how much power it makes or how light they are, it just sounds like bullshit to me. Nankangs with the acceleration of slicks lol.
My point was simply this: For a list to maintain credibility, people must be confident that the information on the list is true, accurate, and updated as frequently as is necessary. That accuracy was brought into question by other members, at least one (Fleetwork), posted here. Your given reason for not including the 10 sec. times, was that the people concerned didn't follow the "rules" regarding e-mailing you the relevant figures/copy of the Time Slip, as required. WYKKED also was unable (for what I believe to be a valid reason), but was included on the list, none the less. If the rules can be relaxed, or modified for one person, then it is reasonable for the same flexability to be shown to others (on a case by case basis). To not do so, destroys the confidence of those people who are keenly interested in the results list, and therefore undermines the credibility of that list. BTW, I am not questioning the inclusion of WYKKED's times, so if someone wants his removal, it's not me. Given that the rush to be the first forum member to break into the 10 sec. band, occupied so much space on this forum (and generated considerable traffic), it would seem reasonable to at least keep a close eye on what was happening in that area, even if watching all the other lesser results was too time consuming. Looks good Risk... Everyone has gotten a little side tracked and not bothered to post their thanks for your work. Few ideas snatched from the twinturbo.net drag list are including links to the persons profile on aus300zx, and also a link to their timeslip if you have it scanned or maybe even video footage of the run if you can host it. Just remember to keep your editing skills handy as that top place will soon have to be vacated :thumbsup:. I think the WA boys need to have a drag night and take over all the top places on the list. Cause as we all know WA is the best state :zlove: Brad you need to get your car back together, and Chris about time your beast was broken in dont you think?
im am still yet to see how your points/opinion proves the list isnt > credible... the list has been updated within 2-3 days TOPS of when people submit there timeslip... i generally try to have it done by the following day, but as mentioned previously - it takes some time to edit the list, and i dont always have time to spare... in saying that i feel 2-3days is quick enough. As for the information being acurate - everyone on there has submitted there times, wether it be a time slip or a link to a time slip, or in WYKKED's case, a link to an office time sheet. As for peoples confidence as to the information on the list... well, i cant see why people would feel it has been "tampered" with. there are currently 2 ten sec zeds posted on the forum recently... John has sent in his timeslip and has been added accordingly... in my opinion - if i can spare the time to add the "big guns" i should be adding everyone who posts there slips... to be honest, i think people with slower times would appreciate seeing there name on the list more than the big dollar rides... again - if you can post it on the forum, how hard is it to send a quick email to me with the link to the post or a copy of your slip? i really dont see how that is too much to ask. a link to an offical time sheet was sent to me... its not like it was a photocopy of a napkin with "12second pass" written on in texter! again - i am yet to see anything that questions the credibility of the list... all information is accurate again - i am unable to be on the forum every day, times will "fall through the cracks".. i really dont see there being any problem with people submitting the times to me... it takes a whole of 5secs to do! for me to take the time to grab times of the forum only for people with the quickest time, in my opinion is just unfair... it should be the same for everyone... and ill be honest - i find the "slower" times just as interesting as the quicker times... its good to see what mods people have for what times they have etc... thanks Nathan.... couple of points > if you look between "driver" and "trans" there is a "*" click that - that will take you to the profile of the "driver" - if you read down to the bottom i make mention of it... but if you have missed it, i guess others have... i might make it aliitle more "user friendly" im working on having links to timeslips... if the list continues - it will be in the next revision. As for the vids, great idea! people like John already have theres hosted on there own site.. so maybe others can host there own as well... if not, im sure i can find room. And the WA guys already hold 4 of the top 10 places.... we just need your zed back on the road so we can knock John off the top spot haha ::Risk::
