mate don't buy cheap ebay suspension parts, they'll fall apart when your driving then you'll die a cheap and nasty death.

    If you

don't need adjustable rods, you can press the leaking bushes out and replace them with nismo bushes, nismo bushes are a little harder than stock bushes, so there's a little less for and aft movement, helps keep camber arms from destroying them selves.

There are "cheap" suspension replacement parts and there are "good" suspension replacement parts.
There are no "cheap, good" suspension replacement parts.
    There is an old adage,
    "If you have a $2 Head then buy a $2 Crash Helmet".:eek::eek:
The same can be said of cheap-assed suspension components!

I brought second hand tein tension rods off an s13. There identical to the z32 items, so if you find tree isn't many ones for a z for sale have a dig for the s13 ones ;)

    Egg ....

    Those cheap tension rods...

...are in fact very strong and very heavy.

But the rod ends are really crap, they will pound out in no time.

I had rods similar to those and they survived a harsh impact to the front end of the car and subsequent rollover - pretty strong if you ask me!

Again, as mentioned by Egg it is generally the rose jointed ends which are the weak point.

I have ones for sale billet alluminium with $60 a piece forged stainless steel rod ends.....the bearings themselves are the best about the rods.

and yes ive had cheap shitty rod ends fail hence the good ones.

    Egg ....

I've been using a set of these...

...for about the last 6 years.
The rod ends lasted about 1,500k's but was easy to replace with some quality.

These cheap tension rods are really agricultural, normally performance parts are much lighter then OEM, but these would weigh at least double the stock arms.

Can't really go wrong with these, just remember to check the bearings and be ready to replace with some quailty. Perhaps even pre-empt the failure. :)

Mate JP is still showing tuneagent in stock on his website, although from what I understand they're not being produced anymore. If you can get your hands on a pair they are some of the best value tension rods on the market, I use them in my own car.

    Give him a buzz 02 9620 9000 they're advertised at $260/pair but he'll usually knock a few $$ off for forum members.
