Is it normal that today I was driving Zeee on the freeway at 100km/h and my ECU talk showed the car at 89degree?

Also as I was in stop/start traffic temps went up to 98degree

Today was about 37degree in Melb though, usually on a 25 degree day the car temp will sit on 83(ish) degrees on the freeway and about 85 in traffic.

    Thank you.

    Yes, a bit high...

check the tech section for my article 'The A to Z of overheating'. There are plenty of things to check before summer really hits.

As a start, high temps in stop/start traffic is usually caused by a failing clutch fan and/or radiator/cooling system blockage.

Best to do something about it NOW. You don't get too many 2nd chances from an engine overheat.

Was the A/C on or off??? if it was on temps can climb up 5-10 degrees more a hot day compared to an average temp day.
If the A/C was off then you have some problems definatley.
