Guys, its my gf's Hyundai, and look at it this way.. If it doesn't end up onroad soon, there will be neverending waves of headaches!

My gf has a Hyundai that I changed the exhaust manifold and dump pipe on coz it had a crack. I also gave it a service and took the leads out and put them back in. Im unsure whether I placed em on wrong plugs but nevertheless.

The car has its O2 sensor unplugged coz I need to rewire it (too short) but this is the problem im getting.

It idles rough until it settles for a while. Then..

    1. When I put it in gear and try to drive off, its freaking hard to keep up the revs coz if I drive off, the car stalls VERY quickly, so I need luck and high revving to move the car.

    2. When the car does drive, it is SO DAMN SLUGGISH, a little kid could hop skip quicker.

    3. The muffler sounds like its FARTING BIG TIME. The engine is quiet but the muffler (i think a 3inch oval type) is a large farting machine.

I need to fix this immediately and Im relying on the experience/knowledge you guys have to save my ass on this one.

    Thanks a mill guys.

    Jesse.

    problem

if im reading this right u may have put the spark plug leads on the wrong plugs. this will cause u problems as it will affect your ignition timing.

this can do serious damage if left. i suggest take to a mechanic who knows which leads go where.

Look at the distributor where the leads are comming from they should have

numbers telling you which lead goes to which cylinder. Your problem sounds like you got the leads messed up.
