    Hi Guys,

Been a member for a while trying to find my dream car and I did!

    I bought tassies zeds 300ZX.

Well (without being mean to my wife) this is the best thing I have done for a long time.

Even though I spend longer cleaning her than driving her I can't begin to describe the pleasure I get from finally being a zed owner (over 6 months now).

It was my late fathers dream car and I was able to realise his dream almost to the letter.

The adventure I had bringing her back to SA from TAS was a special moment for me. As was tassie zed taking pics of the car as I drove out!

Enough reliving the past! Couple pf questions?

Thinking about tinting the windows? Suggestions?

Also contemplating putting in an alarm? Suggestions?

    Thanks every1!

    :p

    Welcome to the forum!

Tinting - looks good, go for it if you have the cash, but have a look around the For Sale section first... there'll be plenty of other things that grab you too!

As for an alarm, it's a must! I have the Mongoose M80S - triple immoboliser and alarm. See here...

    http://www.mongoose.com.au/car-security/index.php?product_id=M80S

Can't recommend it enough! Whatever you choose, DON'T go for one of those cheapo pager alarms - it sounds good, but they are not to Australian standards and won't give you the protection you really need. Also, if they're not up to Aus standards, you won't be able to get insurance...

Installing a decent alarm is definantly worth it!

Once again, welcome aboard! Enjoy the forum and your lovely Z - looking forward to some pics! :zlove: :zlove:

Hi Mervan. Welcome to the Forum. I tried to talk

Tazziezed out of selling his car because I was sure he would regret it one day. But it sounds as though his car has gone to a good home anyway. Cheers.

Yes i agree, Mongoose M80 series alarms are great. I have the M80G, it comes additionally with a glass break sensor. RRP is about $530 but u can get them off ebay for about half the price. Just make sure you find someone who can install it before you buy it, as i had a bit of trouble with shops that only install what they sell.

    Goodluck!

    Good point

I purchased mine directly from Mongoose and had them install it, which I thought was the best way to go (better warranty cover too, I think...)
