I'm not sure but when I got my tailshaft done my mechanic said that the bearing and uni's were non-servicable parts ie. you have to replace the whole thing. Not sure why Nissan would do it this way. New nissan OEM 2piece is around 1300 to replace? The one piece is far better. Much lighter too. I think mine was around 5kilos lighter.

Did u speak with Ron personally?

You can always r & r yourself or local mechanic and send by courier for re-build.... you'll be longer without a Zed and may cost more.

Gibbs @ Burleigh do one-piece but charge $700+

    Spoke to Ron

I spoke to Ron he said he needs it for a day and half and they quoted me $450 not fitted and the other guy yesturday quoted me $450 fitted there not making any sence.

I too got some similar run around

    when I went there.
Think I will perhaps source the shaft there, and get Amec to fit.
1-2 hours work to fit, and Petron want the car for 2 days.
    Some ridiculous fitting charge too!

    Pfft

I got mine there about a year ago. He had the car for a day. You could ask him to make one and get gavin wood to fit it.

And just by the way the reason the original shaft is two piece is because it is safer to use at higher rpm. The longer the shaft the lower the max rpm is. The one piece does a fine job though.

Get the shaft made and I will install it for you on the tech day at Pex's place in a few weeks. I've had a bit of practise :p

By the sound of things so far, I don't think there is any doubt that they can give you the shaft.:p:p:eek::zlove:
