JUST an apology to Fairlady3 for my non-attendance at today's cruise, owing to a late-minute family matter. I hope I didn't delay departure, but was unable to make a call advising of my problem. Hope everyone had a GREAT DAY...
SYDNEY TO GONG CRUSE A big thank You to Lili and Mazz for organising this cruse. A Great deal of time and effort go into these projects by the organisers, so the rest of us can just roll up on the day and enjoy ourselves.:thumbsup::thumbsup: We had a great time as usual and enjoyed the cruse itself and the company of those who were able to attend. Howeer some of you missed out on the return mini mistery tour of the Gong conducted by Chilly in his somewhat abortive effort to find the correct enterence to the freeway, or perhaps he was just trying to get an early start for the Canberra Cruse. Led astray once again oh dear!!!:LOL::LOL: Although seriously fokes we had a ball. Cherrs to all Ellie and Tim
Couple Pics Had a great day apart from the sun burn and didn't even have the targas off, Thanks Lily & Marrs for organising it.
Great cruise, great people, great day(almost). Thanks Lili & Marss, we had a great time, met some terrific people, and had a surprise return of the "MrZee Tech Day, Stage Two". :LOL: Everything went well until we found that somehow, half of NSW was wise to our attempt to travel from Stanwell Tops to Wollongong( the other half were already parked at Wollongong Harbour/Lighthouse). How come Lighthouses seem to feature in many of our recent cruises?  By the time we decided to return whence we had come, several of we hardy Aussies, were sporting sunburn as a result of travelling "sans T-Tops", and we just wanted to go to sleep. Lynn and I left the beach followed by two Zed's driven by shady looking characters, and after only a couple of minutes of driving (in 1st & 2nd gear) we had managed to elude them, only to have them re-appear moments later, just after two Commonwhores collided side to side whilst I was trying to hide in front of them. All my attempts thereafter, to shake them off my tail, failed dismally (even a brilliant plan to head for Nowra didn't work) so I finally gave up and turned for home. Little did I realise that they would be easily evaded by me making a last minute decision to take the Picton/Wilton road, and at last we were free of them (God only knows what may have happened if they had found out where we live.) The rest of the journey was relatively uneventful, accept for a homicidal maniac (driving a Hold-on Berlina) who decided to meander past us (on the left lane, of course)at around 160kph (him, not us)only to discover that his journey was about to end in the ass-end of a large boat, being towed at 100kph in his lane. This resulted in him deducing that my portion of the roadway looked decidedly better than his at that moment in time, and so he used it wisely, leaving me to carry-out a severe series of unscheduled "CHILI Brace Tests". The results were more than favourable (but the NEXEN 3000's are flat-spotted). So I went home!:embarrassed: :embarrassed:
SYDNEY TO GONG CRUSE Thanks for the pics Ron looking good. Although I know that the Z's look gorgeous and sexy I am always delighted just how good they look, particularly in a group.:zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove: Cheers all Ellie
Awesome photos!!! Its really good to see that a lot of them had mods to them and they all look different with their own unique appeal to each one! Great work guys, Im very impressed!!!
Great day! Thanks Lilli and Marss for organising it  The Royal National Park run has been a favorite of mine ever since moving to the coast about 5 years ago. I 'learned' my zed in there . I have had some fun runs through there with a few zedders, Franz, Dub, 1turbo still fun, ZBoost, Lou. The new bridge is great for local business's with the 3 billion tourists  cramming into the area daily but it has squished the sheer joy of my favorite cruise road. The traffic sux! Cant wait till the novelty of the bridge wears off and I get my backyard back!! When it flows that drive is superb and as for Wollongong? packed! Its always a car spot but I feel that the councils decision to close it to any cars on Australia day resulted in todays unusually big turnout. Didnt bother our crew, all the more to see, hey Ports/Wiz ..:LOL: Even saw a PacRacing rotor with a shute in there! Marss..your CD rocks!! thankyou so much for putting that together, I smiled the whole way through. Like I was able to bring some of you home. And Grant, 1turbo still fun, thankyou sooooo much for helping me with my pipes , even though you dont have a Zed anymore, its neat you're always there to help me with experience from your 'frustrating' Zed days.
Great day! Thanks Lilli and Marss for organising it  You guys are just superb. Anna and I had and absolute ball. I would also like to thank the company of the rest and Chili for officailly branding me with his "Chili Brace" It made a difference on the way home when this tool on the freeway decided that this one particular pot hole was worth running over so he thought he would pivot his nissan pulsar on the spot and further progress into his trip a better man knowing he had missed the pot hole. Little did he know that i was behind him at 110 k/ph about to overtake him. In this instance i need to say thanks to caz for supplying the Pads. It really pulled up  Not happy Jan . Oh well seems like we all had some form of anger on the way home... haha. We also got so burnt on the way home going through cambelltown. I am still glowing like the afternoon sun... It was well worth it though. I would also like to apologise to everyone for leaving early.. I had a family bbq to attend. There was no way out of this one either.. Its the type when a few people attend and they cook for an army. Food was awsome by the way :LOL::LOL: All in all i must say for the little time i was there i had a great time. As usual you are all very humble, funny and just a great bunch to be with. Rgds Terry & Anna.
Big apology from the Wokburner for not providing the entertainment! Unfortunately had to attend to some urgent and not so fun family probs(someones very:sick: ), overall a not so great week for me with a good friend passing away a few days ago. Hope to see you all soon, missed the crew and the intention was to come till 3am Sunday morning, Matt n Mary
Sorry i missed it From about wednesday lunchtime until now i didn't even see a computer let alone use one so i missed out on getting the details for the cruise. Looks like a good day out though!
SYDNEY TO GONG CRUSE To al who missed this cruse you missed a great day with fantastic seanery and grat company. I also ended up looking like an overcooked lobster Although we missed your company wokburner there are some things, and i know I'm going to get blasted for this, that must take presedent over even a Z cruse. The important thing is that we hope to see you guys next time.:thumbsup: Once again great day guys. Am still working on Tim re the Canberra mistery cruse but he is weakening Cheers all Ellie

Plenty to see........:zlove: You gotto love lazy Sunday afternoons at the Gong... Missed the initial get together, but found you all at the old phallic point... Thanks to Lili and Marss. Think i'll make a few more trips down to that fish'n chip shop real soon Caz.
We are glad to hear... that you all had a great time,. It was bloody hot to say the least. I got burnt on my face and look like I had just returned from a skiing trip :LOL: Thank you for all the lovely comments, It was our pleasure. I found out that we are able to ask council approval next time to park up on the grassed area in front of the light house to show off our fantastic cars. (Will do next time for sure.) I even got to drive the skyline, NOW that was a buzz, I have an NA zed and the power that the skyline had to dish out was crazy!! what an adrenaline rush, Great car baby! You and Ron have really made a differance to it and I feel the change. It was a real pain there were alot slower cars that day. Every man and his dog was out!. In total we had roughly 24+ cars turn up and that was great, thanks heaps for that. Well my baby has finally gone in for repair this morning so I can't wait to see the finish and have her back on the road again. Brighter and sparklier than ever for the Canberra cruise:zlove::thumbsup: Thanks again to all for coming! Cheers Lili :zlove:
Great day great drive and scenery. Thanks to Lili and Marss for organising the day. Had to leave early too for a family dinner. Some of you found out that I couldn't start my car again after dinner. Had to close the gaps and improve the contact points on the connectors again. It was great to see you all there. Alvin
Could not have asked for a better day for a cruise,...... It was too hot for the Convertible (Veronica you must be SUNBURNT bad) so I took the Red 2+2 TT out for the cruise as this Zed has not been driven in 12 months I just love the way this Zed drives and behaves  (wishing the convertible was a TT) Anyway I had a great day as I'm sure you all did :zlove: and those two way radio's are fun, you cant make out whos at the other end unless its Chili  BTW, we must have MORE Pics C'mon Guys where are the pics?... :zlove:
