Hi all, saw some standard car ramps this morning and also "Modified"vehicle add on ramp pieces which give a much shallower angle for the car ramp for a lowered car. Has anyone had any experience with these? They looked pretty good , my Zed has sagged OEM springs so looks lol haha Also, picked up this in orange for $125 today on their half price sale, looking at getting the matching cabinet with wheels . Not spamming just really happy with the price as I have 2 x old plastic tool boxes and now only need one! http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Calibre-Tool-Cabinet-6-Drawer-Top-Chest-27-Green.aspx?pid=326691#Description
lol too funny shes running on 5 at the moment , number 6 this week became intermittent now not at all so tomorrow chasing coil or injector or loom demons!!! :zlove:
lol, they weren't supposed to sell the new model ones, the sale was mainly to get rid of the old ones, the next catalogue will have a set of them on sale for under 700$ I think. oh and the half price thing ended on the 15th
I went to supercheap to look at those orange plastic ramps which have a shallow stepped angle, but they were sold out. The staff said they would be suitable for wide tyre cars.
SuperCheap car ramps The standard car ramps are specified for a maximum tyre size of 200mm. I checked with the manufacturer and they do have a RED ramp that is suitable for standard size tyres like the 225~235mm on a Zed. It is their 4WD heavy duty ramp and will hold most of the really wide tyres some Zeds wear. The 4WD ramp is on sale $100 for the pair. The problem now is the extension ramps. They are an extra $80 for the pair. The extension ramps are designed for the thinner gauge steel on the narrow ramps, so they don't lock down on the third rung of the ramp. I spoke to the manufacturer (Sanfred says they make them) and they acknowledge that they have fallen behind with the specification of family car tyres and sports cars too. No solution but they are considering some design changes. Anyway my Father handed me the grinder and said to stop making excuses and do whatever and then change his oil. See picture of third rung. Only requires a small amount of metal removed and the extension ramps fit in nicely. I sprayed it with some gal paint that was handy to cover the bare metal Anyway, thought someone out there would like to know these are on sale again.
