Isn't it comforting to know that NONE of this can happen, because everyone takes precautions:?) :?) :?)You do realise that some on this forum will label you "a limp-wristed, pillow-biting, no-nothing" for showing that clip, don't you :?) :?) :?) Take heart mate, you are NOT alone!:YD :YD :YD Have a Happy & Safe New Year.>D< >D< Lloyd :-Z
Where you expecting a reaction out of me... Lloyd? My thoughts: 1. Illegal street racing is not going to stop, least not when there are these heavy moving objects called "cars" that people can modify themselves. 2. You're (not you Lloyd, but people in general) a d1ckhead if you park your pride and joy or even stand alongside the "drag strip" Happy New Year
I agree with you on both points, Franz:YD And NO I wasn't expecting a reaction from you, I was generalising about the subject "at large". Happy New Year to you and yours also Lloyd :-Z >D<
hahaha They can say what they like especially after they injur someone doing something stupid like in that clip and end up someones bitch in jail ;-)Must remember bend the knees when picking up the soap Happy new year!!
thats clip is scary>> i can admit ive been to organised illegal street drags in sydney (i have never partcipated) but i have never seen people or cars that close on the road most cars are way behind the start line with the people no ever parks or stands where cars are moving at high or low speed, no one is stupid enough to stand that close.but yeah anyone who wants to drag on street should watch that vid that will defanltiy scare some sense into you.
I think Fast & Furious is partly to blame because in the first movie with the opening big drag this is how they have them lined up with the spectators cars forming a tunnel for the cars to race down between.Got to question the intelligence level of ALL involved, including the spectators. Would anyone stand down-range (or alone side) a rifle range ... I dont think so. They should ALL lose their cars and licenses and be made to go back to riding push-bicks.
The movie was inspired by the street racing not the other way round,however, I reckon it boosted the numbers a fair bit.
I disagree... ...it would be the other way round.Also because I have that clip on one of my old car video cd's that goes back a few years now!
indeed, goes back many years. But. . . wth, what kind of spectator spectates 1.5m away from a 3300lb car doing 150km/h?
You obviosly dont watch the World Rally.... these people are all over the track. I am very surprised more of them arent killed.8-}
Bull shit , street racing was around in the 1950's , havent you seen "Rebel with out a cause" with James Dean in the race called the chicken run , same set up with cars & people at the side. in the late 60's in Sydney we use to do it up New South Head Rd from Rose Bay, except there were many cars then .
