    Hi all,

My Z was stolen tonight from the Woden Southern Cross Club in Canberra. I thought I'd post up a pic or two in case anyone happens to see it. If you do, please call the police and let them know - it would be appreciated. The rego is NSW AME-72Y. The car is easy to identify as it has the Ab-Flug front nose panel ie "Big Gaping Hole".

The pic below shows the nose panel (it's an old photo though - wheels are different now and the side indicators in front of the intercooler are now gone).

This second pic shows the wheels.

    Sorry for your loss :(.

Seems to be a lot of Z's stolen in the ACT in comparison to the number of Z's from elsewhere, or is it just me?

I went out for a drive around Hume for you this arvo - went up all the dirt roads I could find. Need a different car to go further up 2 of them - wasn't game to take the Z over the train tracks or up the hill. And the NX would never make it.

Didn't see it anywhere while I was out n about - I'll find out about taking a different car out there tomorrow to explore the other roads further.

Want to at least TRY to help with your sitch - coz I know I'll prolly have the same thing happen 1 day and i know I'd appreciate the help when it happens. Want get the bastards that are doing this sooooooo bad.

I think Scotts zed got broken into near there too a while back...

There's always trouble there though, its near the youth centre and one of the main bus interchanges in Canberra.....

One of the skylines that was stolen in Canberra was spotted by a fellow SAU member. Somebody posted up the location and the a***holes moved the car before anyone had a chance to get to them since they were scanning the forums. (This is why spotted forums are useless). There's been a group targeting imports in Canberra stripping them and selling for parts, but ill drive past the location where they were spotted tomorrow on my way to work.

I can't stress enough how you need to be careful where you park your car so ACT zedders, please keep this in mind! :zlove::zlove:

Thanks guys, I appreciate your assistance. As I'm sure some other members can attest to, I put a bucket load of blood & sweat in to the car... It's also not insured since in ACT they don't do third party fire & theft.

    Bugger Patrick,

Just checked the forum and saw this post. I'll keep an eye out. Hope it's just joyriders and you get it back unharmed.

    Cheers,

    Peter

Sad to here.I just bought mine a week ago and now i'm a bit worried. It's got a imobaliser and alarm but are the z's an ezy car to pinch.Any ideas of how to make it harder to take.

Lock it up and take it NOWHERE :) But there's no practicality in that. Z's were made to be driven - and they're so nice to drive you'll be a fool to deny yourself the pleasure :zlove:

Since mine got broken into 3 weeks ago I've had a whole new alarm system put in - one which notifies me straight away when the alarm is triggered so I can get my bum out there to protect it in person. Adding some extra touches to it this weekend (Thank you to Rob for the pointer!) I also equip it with a steering lock, a wheel lock and a few extra goodies JUST to be an extra pain in the ass - if they want the car they're NOT gonna get it quickly, they'll have to get through my gauntlet first. Yes. I lives in Canberra....... Go figure.

I knew that sooner or later a Z would get taken after I saw what they did to mine - and thus my 2 hour vigil cruising the streets and dirt roads of Hume this arvo. Also checked out a few other locations I know of - not going to post up here where they are coz the bastards are using the forums for their own gain. Going out in a different car, one which will allow me to search areas the Z can't get to, and have a better look around a few places tomorrow. :)

I used to pull the plug from the crank angle sensor, or ptu and then just put it back in place.
