    Hi Everyone,

I am interested (still) in putting a descent system in my blue 25th'er. However, i dont want to spend thousands. I own 2 "dynamic audio pro series 2901" loud speakers, which have a 12 inch driver, mid range and a tweeter each and really enjoy the sound and was wondering if it is at all possible for me to put the drivers in the boot of my zed.

The speaker specifications are as follows:
    Max power 150 rms
    Nominal impedence 8 ohms
    Min power handeling 5 watts.

Although the power to these speakers is mighty small there really quite a good speaker.

My questions are: Can i use home audio in a car? What sort of power would i need per sub? And does anyone know how to access those "L" shaped rear speakers, because mine are quite difficult to remove. If the power handeling is so small, could i just diconnect the current rear speakers and hook up the 2 drivers off the manufacturers deck? Otherwise i would need to buy a new unit and amplifier with rca's right?

    Thanks for your help. Charlie.

Subs (12") go in the back, use the mids and

tweeters for a decent front stage.

To get to the rear speakers you will need to remove the whole plastic cover (usually) however I have done it by just removing the speaker grill. To remove grill pull whole grill towards the side of the car so it clears the inside hooks then pull upwards at the same time.

If you have the original Bose deck and speakers then you will have to replace the whole system as it has an amp on every speaker, and very low output from the deck.

you need to wire up in series to up the load to 8ohm.. most

amps run at at best efficiency at 4ohm but if you wired them up to 8ohm you wont get as much power out of the amp but there will be no damage to the amp..only if you wire the load down to 2ohm which i dont think you can do with 2x 8ohm speakers anyway..

and 150wRMS is ok, it will give you some noise but y not just get a car stereo? would be alot easier..
