I guess after 240,000 Ks it was to be expected but my steering wheel leather is getting very tatty, has anyone ever had one recovered, was wondering how much it cost or just buy a cover instead.:)

If it's done right(and covered with genuine leather)it can be expensive, but it will outlive the car(and look 100% better than a cover).
Just ask a couple of Auto Upholsterers.:zlove::br:

This guy does a great job. A member got his from him recently and was very happy.

Otherwise, a local Auto Upholsterer should be able to do it for you.

I had my wheel redone with black leather and white stitching about 7 years ago by a mob in S.A that do custom hot rod upholstery. Did a great job and still looks great today. At the time, it cost me $250.

$250 is cheaper than buying a good aftermarket wheel. I would agree, use a local upholsterer and support local business. Stock 3 spoke design is excellent, a new layer of leather and it'll last you another 20 years.
