I have a shipment of Stainless Substrate cats in stock.
They are 100 cpsi, which means the internal holes are 4 times the size of a standard ceramic cat, and twice the size of other types of stainless substrate cats.

    I have them in 4" body (2.5" & 3" pipe size), 4.5" body (3" pipe size) and 5" body (3", 3.5" and 4" pipe size).

On the Zeds, the 4" body would be the best size so they fit in the tunnel easily, but if you have a skyline, silvia, etc with single turbo and large dump pipe, the larger sizes would be ideal.

Minimum quantity is 20 mixed cats (10 vehicle sets) and the price will be:

    4" body $180ea inc GST
    4.5" body $240ea
    5" body $290ea

Pick up is free - Ingleburn
    Sydney Metro $15 per pair
NSW Country, Melb, Bris/Gold Coast $25/pair
    Adelaide $35/pair
    Perth, Darwin, Hobart/Launceston $55/pair
Outside Capital Cities, add another $10 to the above rates - if you are the other side of the "Black Stump" in each state add $20 to the Capital City rate.

If multiple orders are delivered to one address the freight will be cheaper, so contact me when the time comes.

This is a "once off" at these prices and I will close it off on 3rd October. This is a saving of around $50 each off the usual price.

If you are interested, put down the body size, pipe size and quantity and I will keep a list going on here. ie 4" body x 2.5" x 2

    Cheers

We are up to 4 so far.
I also have one with 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet. This would suit 3" dump pipes into a 2.5" system.

    WYKKED 4" body x 3" pipes x 2
    Peter Black 4" body x 2.5" pipes x 2

We still need a few more to get to the Group Buy price and I will extend the date till the 10th if needed. Normal price will be $230 each for the 4" body, so they are still reasonably priced.

I sold over 40 in 3 days on another forum :D

    Cheers

Great price Greg and at 100CSI they will flow really well...

    What is the warranty like?

    How is the biscuit secured?

    Are they EPA compliant?

I am seriously interested in a pair 3" in/out with 4" body pending answers.

These are our products, so we are covering the warranty ourselves. Unlike the imported ones where you would have to send them overseas to try to claim a warranty. As with any cat, abuse/impact damage is not covered. If the substrate comes loose it is covered by warranty.

I can't go into trade secrets, but the biscuit is retained to a tube which is welded to the outer case. Therefore, it is twin skinned - 2 layers of stainless.

They have a Euro 3 coating on them, but because of the size of the holes, they will probably only pass Euro 2 emissions (up to 2004)

    Cheers

Sorry mate I am out. These look like a great product but the guys already have a pair of cats sitting in the workshop for my car.

Good luck, given the interest in 200 cell cats lately I am surprised these 100 cell items haven't sold themselves...

Here are a few photos of our new cats. Being 100cpsi, they outflow all other cats and make the exhaust note a lot deeper and angrier, without increasing drone inside the car.

On a Gen 3 (sorry no 300zx comparisons) the 200cpsi stainless substrate cats add 5-7rwkw in power, so these will be even better.

The first one is the inside of our cat showing the hole size

This is a "Computer Screen Comparison" - very technical of course. But the light you can see through the cat shows how much of a restriction it is. Look how tiny the holes are in the standard cats.

This is a Redback Metal cat - 300cpsi oval

As you can see, not much better than the standard cat. The cheap ones coming from the USA are also 300cpsi metal cats.

As you can see by the size of the blue dot, this is how much of the computer screen you can see through the cat so it gives a comparison of the hole sizes and flow characteristics.

You can nearly read the words on the screen through our new cats.

This is what a few customers (from another forum) said about his new cats:
    And another:
    And another:

There is plenty in stock (approx 500 left in this shipment) and they are being advertised in an assortment of magazines over the next few months. After the 10/10/2008 they go back to the normal price of $230 each for the 4" body.

This is just a way of getting a few out there to attract interest.

We have had lots of warranty problems with all major brands of cats, and we specialise in performance, that's why we decided to design our own and bring them in. There are also a lot of dodgy ebay and USA ones coming in. The major flaw with most cats is they are not retained well enough and the substrate comes loose, especially on high powered cars.

Here is a photo of what happened to a Metal Cat when the substrate came loose:

We are covering our own Warranties, so you don't have to worry about sending them back to the USA and have your car sitting on a hoist waiting for warranty approval (and the cost of shipping it back of course).

Anyway, I hope you like our new cats, and I'm sure you will hear a lot more about them over the next few months.

Get in quick for a cheap price and a performance gain.

    Trade Enquiries Welcome

    Cheers

Seriously, when was the last time you had to go for an emission test?

Most modifications to your car would make it non compliant in one way or another.

These cats "should" be legal for all cars up to the end of 2003 for emissions, so for all 300zx's they would be fine.

Yes, they are all 100cpsi cats and they are supplied as in the picture - as uni's. No gaskets or flanges are supplied.

IB We can weld temperature sensor fittings in (if we have the right ones) and they would be $30 each.

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

One concern I have is this quote from one of your customers:
I do not want to make my car louder - but I am interested in a cat that will potentially improve performance when compared to others. The previous owner of my car provided an engineering certificate that the current exhaust tested at 90db. I also note that the owner prior to that has notes on the setup of the ECU tune listing "gutted cats". I do not know if the gutted cats remain, but I am keen to rectify the situation without an increase in exhaust noise.

Can you comment on the noise factor?
