Seems like my hatch only has one square hole. The infill panel needs four? Is this normal? the hatch looks original doesnt look like they were filled in or anything. DO I have to make more holes? Im a little stumped. Dont know how I will make the holes in the right place for the infill panel to go on properly.
That's correct, 89 series cars (and many of the later years) don't have all the holes, You have to drill them out and file them to shape just like I did. Be warned, if you don't do this the strip will bow out and look crap after a while. Do it once, do it right
I bought a whole bunch of clips with a plan of making up a kit for those with 89 model cars to allow for easy rear brake light fitting. Should probably get around to doing that.
Hey buddy, I just dealt with this the other day on my mates 300zx z32 1990 N/A, only one hole as well. no big deal, I just lined up the new panel and marked the hole points and used a steal dill bit then I just used a square metal file. What I did with the metal file was put it in the one hole your talking about and put a black maker on it as to make the other the same size hole to big. hope that makes sense, it's grand final day soooo I've had a few. if you want any more help PM me. Cheers
All good fella's Techy already enlightened me and Drilled 10mm hole and filed square. Lol Frysie. No spoiler is going on this baby
