Well I had my Zed in for registration and they have said the car is to low
Only at the front, 5mm left side 10mm right side.
I am having trouble's finding standard height springs. Will Aus spec, n/a, springs fit the twin turbo? This is the only listing they have for the Z32.

Is there another option other than replacing the springs?

What sized rims are you using?

If you have Low Profile tyres (ie. 40 aspect ratio), then by going to a 50 aspect ratio tyre, you will gain about 22mm in height. Have a look for some cheap s/hand front tyres( you can always go back to your current ones afterwards.)

    Running standard 16's ---

For rego anyway. I think (would have to check) that they have a 50 serise tyre on them.
I am running a Bilstein setup that looks like it has lowered springs.

    Some autobarns sell "spring spacers"

Which you can put put inbetween your springs and the
bottom of the shocks in order to raise ride height.

Pretty dodge but at least it'd get you through rego
and I think they retail for like $20 a set.

    question about 'spring spacers'

So all they do is slide in between the springs and shock? are they easy to put in and remove? Im always running into trouble with my car being too low.

They knocked you back because of 10mm.....:wacko:

pump your front tyres way over normal pressure and half the pressure in your rears and I reckon you'd go close. 5mm & 10mm...what a bunch of wankers

I think they got the height wrong --

Because on the day they said it needs to be 355mm but when I had enquired before I was told 340mm. I think he was looking at a z31 info but he siad no it's actually done by the year of the car and he was right.
Will call them on Monday anyway.

The car needs to have a minimum ground clearance of 100mm.

Yes, but there are also limits on

how much you can legally decrease the spring compressed height, and bump stop clearance.

Mick, I've posted before the factory manual heights from ground level to highest point on guard lip. This relates to the spring compressed height as well as the tyre radius, which is what they'll be measuring. They'll also be looking at minimum ground clearance of 100mm.

If you have a service manual, I think the specs are on page FA 27. You might also be able to get a printout from a decent wheel alignment joint which will show the ride height specs for the Z32 and Z31, in case Regency Park is confused.

Con had a similar problem with his defect, although I think he was told centre hub to wheel arch height minimum for the rear was 340mm. From memory, he got some spacers made up.

    Good luck.
