Spring silencers - where to buy?

Hi guys, I am stripping out the old shocks and springs on LRZX.

I note that there are thin rubber / plastic sleeves that slide over each end of the spring. (Silencer) Mine have perished / frayed etc.

Does anyone know where to get these locally? They are no longer available as a Nissan part - Tein has them on their US website - but not keen to pay 40 bucks for postage for just these items.

Or is there another solution?

Look like this.. kinda

 

Get yourself some cable coil wrap. Is a plastic extrusion that's made into a coil. You wind it around the spring coils so it overlaps a turn and a half. Comes in a variety of internal diameters. I think the last lot I got was 8mm. Winds nice and tight around the spring coils.

Works just the same as the proper silencers.

Yep, well I went to Jaycar this afternoon and purchased a 2 metre pack. So, this looks like it will do the job.
