Hi there, I was wondering how long would that take to change a new speed senor, if it is not hard I want to do it by myself (did try to search under tech but I just found where the senor located). Also, does anyone know where I can get a senor try local nissan not cheap n takes long...any advise Cheers 300aj
You can get one from Simon TTZed.com he has them for $205 or there abouts... easy to change 1 bolt and just slip it out, then put the gear from your old one onto the new one and hey presto your done..
How badly do you need it? In a couple of weeks I'll be doing some transmission work and I have a spare one atm. I'll check my current one and if it's fine, you can buy my one for cheaper than the other places. It was bought brand new around a year ago and has just been collecting dust in it's box as I didn't end up needing it (problem was with the dash not the sender). On that note, are you sure you need a new sender? What is the problem? And what sort of Z do you have? Mine is for a TT.
mine is the same TT manuel, I'm pretty sure is the sensor cos I change another instrument cluster since the old one stopo working. But the speedo still doesn't work (RPM works) so I believe is the sensor problem. If u have any though pls let me know and I think I can wait untill u've test ur's. Let me know how much whenever u ready. Cheers 300aj
Ahhk yeah likely. Actually, one other thing to check. Mine is for an auto, not a manual. Not sure but may be a difference there too. I'm sure someone will enlighten us. But yeah, in a couple of weeks I'll let you know. I'm pretty sure mine is ok, but if you want it before then that's fine.
Had a look on TTZ they are different price for both tt-manuel or Auto (few bucks only) but not sure if they are different. Anyway I'll try to e-mail them n c r they the same or not. Cheers 300aj
