Hi all, i need some sugestion for Sound system Amps , speakers, and head unit. if you have pictures for it to .thanks Anthony
I run a CDA-117E alpine head unit, wouldnt have another. Does everything it needs to do, only downside is it may be a bit pricey, but thats for you to decide. Amps, I run two JL Audio, a monoblock and a 4 channel, and speakers are also JL. Sub wise, Alpine Type R. Its a good setup, mostly for clarity rather than loud noise, but you can still crank it.
6 inch splits are the way to go. If you have a drill and a hole-punching adaptor set for the drill, you can mount the tweeters on the top of the door, so they're facing towards you. Makes great sound. I didn't bother with rears - I have MTX brand splits MTX 10 inch sub with MTX 4-channel amp, plus Sony head unit. Fantastic surround sound feel! Is easy to adjust dispersment of sound with tweeters - and you can play around with how much boost/fade you have from your sub to make it perfect for you.
OP, do you have a 2 or 4 seater? I have a 2 seater and this is where I have mounted my amps. It wont be to everyones taste, but it keeps them out of sight and keeps them from being in the way.
sound My Z are 2+2 I just want to mounted on the boot or just under the seat just to keep it out from people.
My 4 channel is under the passenger seat, couldn't get one under the drivers seat due to electrics, so mounted the monoblock under the boot trim where the ABS module usualy is.
I only have the speakers in the zed currently...still saving slowly for my complete setup Full Alpine system...2 12" or 15" Type X Subwoofers, 2 or 3 PDX-10 amplifiers, currently got Type S speakers in the rear...cant remember what im running in the rear. Abraham
hi Abraham, do you have any idea what kind sub box you want to put it? because i looking one for it to but not sure. so far i have Kenwood double din and pioneer split system 6.5 for the front and pioneer 6 at the rear. working still in progress.
I love Audiobahn Iv had some big systems and i loved the price, quality and strength iv got from there range....
Anthony where i live there are a few places that does custom audio stuff. I can either take up the whole boot and make it show car spec, or i can get a dual sub box and just mount it in the boot...my favourite option right now is mounting each sub in a custom box made to fit on either side behind the tail lights, so the middle will still be available for adding stuff into. Hope that helps. I also would either mount my amps on the parcel shelf as mine is a 2 seater zed, or i could just mount it in the boot in a custom setup. Good luck Abraham
Jump on my progress thread, there is a write up on what I've done As for sub boxes, I got mine with my Alpine Type R, if you jump on their website its the only box they have available. Just FYI, it only fits in the 2+2 when facing the front.
