Now... considering the sleet and 50km/h+ winds were pretty rough... there were still a good number of people out, and I even ran into an old friend! I don't know times, or anything I'll let him fill you in... Wayne? (sorry mate can't remember your forum name - hopefully I remembered your actual name too... heheh)... :bash: Covered the number plates for insurance reasons too! Grant.
Hi Grant Great to hear from you! Ok so what does the cryptic sig mean? What is next on your impressive list of toys? cheers Geoff
Yeah, I'm still alive... He he he... my next toy... well, once I get a paying job, as opposed to the peanuts and moutain dew, I currently work for, the next toy will be well, you'll just have to wait and see
Hey Grant, it was good to see you again mate, but I was totally surprised (particually your new mode of transport) Conditions at WP were bitterly cold and the track was sketchy, but I managed to run a 1.10 flat, Abo bob from SAU scorched a 1.08:5 in his 4 door R34 and we had a the Haltec R35 GTR for company. Nice shots of the zed, did you snap any of the GTR?? See you sooner rather than later dude. edit; I just saw your post re pics:biggrin:.
1.10 flat Must have had the afterburners on. Obviously the new track surface is working, keen to get back down there and give it a try. Not when the westerly winds are blowing off the mountains though. Nice pics Grant, when are you going to get another Zed and join in the fun again?
Surface is a infinately better and the rumble strips have all but vanished except corners 3, 4 and 5 where they have grown, so you take different lines through the top of the track now. You can take corner 2 a lot faster aswell as the right hander onto the back straight, the brake points are alot smoother, no more corrigated bumps and you can accelerate out of the fish hook and pit straight a lot earlier now. Hand timed by eskimos, so no claim for time, although Abo bob had a lap timer/transponder on slicks and he beat me on a 1.08.81 lap by about 100 metres.
Well Ron, I would have to say when they make a Zed that is reliable and has no problems whilst making good power... a bit like a skyline...
