Yep initially I thought this route would be a lot easier and cheapier to do. Dumps are much easier to get to than manifolds. Also I really didnt want anyone cutting into my manifolds as Im told its a bitch to work with. At the end of the day probably would of cost the same and been just as easy to go the manifold route.
Heres a pic of the pipes this is the setup i based mine on. Yeah, the internal pump feeds the swirl pot. Should be a return line to the tank as that was discussed, I will get a better look under the car to check. I think the problem with having the pump lower is Im just running out of room. Swirl pot should always be full though so shouldnt be a problem I would think.
He doesn't need a swirl pot.... ....you're right though. Perhaps they should have spent more time thinking about it?
What in the fock is wrong with you guys? What's wrong with sharing photos of his new toys? Let's not get jealous of fellow zedders. Seriously if you dont have anything constructive to say, don't bother posting you nasty pricks. Have a good one. Ryan.
Seems a complicated way of going about it........ and wouldn't the external wastegate exhaust create wierd turbulence with it entering the dumps at a 90 degree angle to the exhaust ? I'm also wondering how the hell did they get at the internal wastegates to weld them open ?
certainly isn't optimal from a fluid dynamics point of view. all in all probably won't make a huge difference though.
Err.. Nathan... Nice job, but forgive my ignorance >> ... Where in the name of crap is your air filter now? :zlove:
cool -that picture clears things up. If your swirl pot is going to be continuiously full with a continual flow coming back via the return hose then the current position of the external fuel pump should be ok. I want to see those front wheels lift off the ground at the drags
Seen this done in past with a Fiat 2 litre. Now Nathan if you want flow with that set up there is no reason you cant take ehaust housing out and port the shit out of the wastgate hole. Adds to the flow of the turbos and this will now e the restriction point of flow with those new gates. MattB
i agree with you Ryan.... If you got nothing good to say dont say it  When Nathan runs his 10's i wonder what people will say then. Nathan pull your finger out, get some good tyres/slicks and post a qtr time Max:thumbsup:
take it easy guys... not bagging the car at all i was only asking a question and no im not sad with my life nathan but i tell what bottles are for babies
