this is the port side (alleviates confusion with passenger side ie rhd lhd!)I have been told that these pipes are to help with reaching normal temperature running in very cold countries. This group of pipes were completely blocked and took considerable digging out with a end flatten piece of 16 gauge wire. the other point to notice is the broken pipe near indicator arrow c. this so happened to be the same side of the engine that sized the camshaft. the trouble with this photo is that all this is quite hard to get at insitu. i would most certainly give all these pipes the flick or a good clean-out if you get the opportunity.
Sorry I couldnt follow the oversized image so I thought Id shrink it for other who might have ideas on the subject?
