My Zed is Off the Road!

I've been having troubles with my clutch recently, say, after it warms up a bit the clutch point changes and the pedal gets stiffer. I've adjusted the clutch previously, and it fixed it for a while but the problem soon returned.

Today it happened worse than usual (as in, the problem doesn't happen everyday, but this time it did) so I decided to bleed the Clutch hydraulics system thing, aided by a friend of mine and a tech article.

So during the bleeding (with the bleed points and cylinder cap on) the clutch stayed soft, and we could hear this strange hissing sound.

I quick look over showed us that there was a rubber hose with a bolt in the end, cable tied to a little brass coloured pointy bit on the firewall, to the right of and behind the cylinder, so we figured "WTF!?" and plugged it back in.

This caused more problems, as a horrible hissing noise (and a slight breeze) started eminating from under the dash and the clutch is now still spongy.

Any ideas? My friend says it could be a leaking Clutch booster (he says it's like a brake booster, but for a clutch?)

If anyone's had this problem before and knows what the hell is going on, or if you have a bright idea, let me know.

I'll even answer questions too.. :)

i had this problem around 2 months ago. ended up changing the master cylinder and that fixed it. if you look into the engine bay from the driver's side, you'll see a little reservoir on the clutch master cylinder behind the big brake fluid res. if the fluid inside is cloudy then it may be leaking and with air in the system it'll change the clutch position.

Where is the hose blocked off?

The clutch booster is on the other side of the firewall (inside of the car). Give me a call mate and we'll see what the problem is.
