I got to work today and notices a small hissing from my car.
I thought to myself *oh lawd, she is leaking again!*

I waited till the end of the day and checked the water level, It was too low to see so I started topping itup to see how much it had lost!
It just kept topping up and topping up...
I looked under the car to notice it spwing out from the side of the motor somewhere.

I found the problem and fixed it.

A small hose had just rusted away and broken clean off, it had most of itself still left inside the tubing it ran to.
I used some fuel line hose to fix it and had a few test runs, and luckily it all went ok and I got home.

The pipe was on the passanger side of my car, here it in in a photo.

When removing this pipe, this one here absolutely shattered and cracked.
I fixed it with heat shrink that glued and normal heat shrink, its only to gt me home and it did the job, I checked for it to be air tight and it was, dont worry, Its getting replaced.

    Question time:
What do both of these pipes do? and is this small one usually connected via a small length of hose? Its seemed to be after market.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Turbo coolant lines, I take it you haven't done an under plennum water by-pass.
Do the plennum pull then by-pass/re-route your water lines.

    AH!
I thought that's what it was.
So, Because the fuel hose is the same size and type, I've pretty much fixed that problem, and I went out and replaced the hose that broke.

Is my car right to drive now :S
I suppose it is... its just that I will need to still do this pull/bypass at a later time as its an issue that will no doubt cause more problems.

Also, is the small hose the coolant line for turbo? or are both? or is the bigger hose?

There are 2 hoses 8mm an in and out of the coolant flow. Yes this is a bandaid fix but definitely pull the plennum and replace all.
