i am having no luck with the zed - the sickest its been ever. Latest prob... driving along a road, some drunken a**hole sticks their hand out walking along the side of the road and smashes my mirror off the mounting and is now dangling by the cable. Do i need a whole new mirror or is there some way to repair this.. I hope it broke his f'n wrist. gus (excuse the french)
the whole pivoting mirror assembly broke from the 'hinge' it appears that only a small plastic connection has broken... not sure though. but it is seriously just hanging by the electric mirror cord.
Mirror needs replacing. The same thing happened to me two years ago ( minus the drunk; the mirror assembly came apart around the hinge after washing the car one day, it was obviously on it's last legs ). Tried a few things to repair it, but in the end I had to replace it. managed to get a second hand one for just over $100 but still had to spray it.
