I would say it is money well spent, good fun when you want to flick through the gears flat out like a motorbike its awesome. Fast, aggresive gear changes without wheelspin.
Engine braking is not as aggresive as if you put the gearlever in 2 (with a stock setup) etc.but it has the same end effect- in fact shift into 1 by mistake at any speed and the braking effect is nearly off so I dont use it to brake at all as it helps to keep the tranny temperature down. Talking of temperature, the display flashes an H when the tranny oil gets over 95oC and it happens quite quickly when in manual mode giving it any stick. I installed a small tranny oil cooler which is obviously not big enough and will need a big'un and fan or 2 fitted.
For the purists - a manual sports car is the ultimate, variations on semi auto and autos are only recently available ex factory. But if you find yourself stuck with an auto it totally transforms your car, the way you drive it and how it responds. I would recommend it highly.
