Re: Installation of SAW I have gone through the instructions and a tech-help topics on the subject. If you are handy then its about 4-6 hrs of splicing and soldering, fitting the gauge, the paddles, all of it pure joy to somebody like me who loves getting hands dirty. Or you could wave the wallet around and get an auto electrician to fit it for you like other members have. The instructions are plain and simple to follow, just hand them and the car over. A transmission oil cooler is recommended to be installed as well as the tranny runs a little hotter and besides the one in the radiator does little to cool the oil. Always a good mod anyway, under 100 bucks if you are handy and can search ebay. Instal pdf Payment can be made thru paypal so it can go on the card if you like. Marceij will put a special link for the members to buy online at this price (roughly 200 bux off.)
This is a great system... However at this price, i would simply start organising a manual Transfer. Yes doing this is going to cost alot more still... but once alternatives go over a grand i think a mannual conversion is a better option IMO.

Info on Shift at will The product has been developed by a Swedish outfit called ESS racing specialising in Z32. Here is their website for you to check it out. ESS Racing I can only speak for myself, but since I have the max power out of stock set up more or less, the auto behaves differently and wants to kick down and rev high too readily, I want to get more use out of the mid range torque, it's hard to maintain top gear, it changes down really easily and I want the control this system offers. Re: Legality Why would it be against the law ? If you mean are they Dept transport approved ? It is an add on to the existing auto set up and the fail safes used in Autos such as cannot select reverse when moving forward, a park transmission brake are not tampered with in any way. So no I don't believe it is going to attract problems with legality. To be certain you might want to talk to your lawyer. Cheers
