and the point to this post is..?? Who cares about their National car, there

are many championship winning cars out there.. so what is your point exactly?

My point is that I consider the guys at AMEC to be not only

my sponsors but also my friends. I don't appreciate it when people like you, who have had no involvement in this issue WHATSOEVER, with NO first hand knowledge of the situation, come on here and throw your 2c worth in. So my point is, while the likes of you and Chewy TALK alot and THINK you know alot, you actually do VERY LITTLE in the way of actually achieving ANYTHING related to motoring excellence. UNLIKE AMEC who have built a National Champion race car.

RE:AND THE POINT TO THIS POST IS..??

Am I misreading this topic, or did a someone else build an engine and then AMEC installed it?

If that is the case, I fail to see how AMEC can be responsible, unless it is now a requirement to dismantle and re-check every clearance and technical aspect of the engine.

If I have misread the topic I apoligise, but there seems to be so much inuendo and tension behind "MOST" of the commentary, the point does get a little lost to me.

There doesn't have to be any involvement, if they gave someone bad

service, which he has PROVED, then EVERYONE here has THE RIGHT to know about it period!

Besides, I never said I know a lot, please tell me where I said this.. or do you and your 'group of friends' just like to talk shit?

If I wanted to, in fact, if anyone wanted to, they could go and build a race car, but I have other interests, this is just one of them. Get over AMEC and their race car, anyone can have a race car so please fill me in on what you are trying to prove.

If I wanted to achieve a lot in the way of motoring excellence, I would have gone into that field obviously.

I might not be achieving a lot, but I have learned more than I once knew since joining this forum and at least I wouldn't work on someones car and give it back to them with the risk of their steering failing and causing a freak accident and then uptalk my business and how much of a 'professional' I am.

who cares if they are on here or not, half of the top fuel/top alcohol/cham

pionship car builders have little time to ponder on forums. Half of them probably don't even use internet forums, you can't be serious can you??

Why would I be jealous? If myself or anyone here wanted a fast car they

could have one. My car is a daily driven one, not a race car  If it was competition, no one here would be talking, they would be out racing.

The stupidity of some people here is very entertaining at times. You honestly can't be that stupid to think that a Championship built car can relate in any way to stuffing up someones car or doing something silly like what Chewy mentioned about the steering. How are they related? The POINT IS, they STUFFED UP.. even if they had an in house built 3 second 1/4m freak car, they still stuffed up on a customers car. It isn't hard to understand is it?

As far as I am concerned, Chewy hasn't proven there to be any

wrong doing by AMEC. I shall not be commenting any further on this thread.

the point is THEY DIDNT STUFF UP!! I think Chewy just needs someone

to blame for what happened in the past, and AMEC are the innocent scapegoat he chooses to blame.

Someone please delete this thread, just about every thread

involving Chewy these days turns into a shit fight.

    RE:WHY WOULD I BE JEALOUS

I UNDERSTAND EVERYONE STUFFS UP. JUST LIKE CHEWY'S ENGINE RE-CONDITIONER. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY AMEC IS BEING TARGETED FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM.
I HAD MY CAR SERVICED BY AMEC TODAY AND NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH PROFESSIONAL SERVICE IN MY LIFE.

P.S. IT'S NEVER RUN SO GOOD SINCE I'VE IMPORTED IT.

Unlike you Fleet I can talk from first hand experience about working

on a 300ZX while you sit back and let grease monkeys do all the work on your car. At the time when I needed my engine rebuilt I did not have the facilities to work on a car at home so I enlisted Amec to remove and resintall the engine while Dorrs Engineering did the engine rebuild.

I had issues with both companies and both did not live up to my expectations. The issues with Dorrs Engineering are that they charged me for work that was not done like deburring the casting flash near the water pump gallery at the front of the block, failing to install the new valve seats I provided etc just to name a few issues.

The rest of the sarga is well documented on this forum. These days I have a full time job that occuppies a lot of my time and a house mortage to pay so buying parts for the 300ZX is more of a luxury. I don't claim to know everything so I have to learn it myself as I go. That way I know what I'm making or modifying is exactly how I want it to be plus I can talk about the subject from first hand experience. So while you make the statement that I only talk and think rather than doing a lot then I ask would you or your "race mechanics" know how to modify the rear suspension to get adjustable anti-squat or be able to make something like this
    [IMG]
If you don't know what it is then it's an oem lhs bonnet hinge on the left and on the right is the rhs bonnet hinge I made from alloy (which has yet to be finished and polished) which is half the weight of the oem one. Whilst not a critical part for a race car this is just a sample of the parts I'm making myself.

I know I can sleep soundly at night knowing that I have only told the truth on this forum and will continue to do so - what do I have to gain by not telling the truth ?

Btw. It's pretty childish to resort to "race track showdowns".
