VIC Senna - The Movie. In collaboration with Hardtuned.net

Hey guys, I am organising the Victorian hardtuned screening of 'Senna' and as such I want to invite all Aus300zx Melbourne members along to this event!

Times and date are yet to be confirmed but I am looking for numbers, so stick up your hand if you are keen to come along!


There will be a cruise to the cinema, I am thinking of having everybody meet up at a central location such as the Melbourne aquatic center car park or somewhere in the Albert park area, then set off and go to either Hoyts cinema in Richmond or Highpoint Maribyrnong, leaning more to Highpoint as I'm familiar with the cinema/ carpark size.

If somebody would like point out a few reasons why Richmond should be the place, please go ahead.

Fingers crossed i can get some screening times today and then i will post them up here to discuss the best possible date!

Ive seen it to but it was the Portuguese version, keen as to see it on the big screen!

 

My copy is in English. Too true it would be a great watch at the big screen.

 

Just got back from a JDMST pre screening of this... Such a good movie! Definitely recommend seeing it on the big screen!

 

If anybody here is interseted in coming i have an update,

Trying to get onto hoyts about session times. But it's safe to say Keep thursday night on the 11th free

Ill post up session times as soon as i get them!

 

Figured out the cruise route to the cinema today, drove it up and back to look for potential problems. There's only 2 speed bumps and they shouldn't be too bad for low cars, just angle over them

This will be the default location: "Highpoint shopping center"
Currently trying to get onto the drive in cinema in coburg to see if they are going to screen the film.

Everyone will be meeting on Pit lane in Albert park, kind of fitting as we are going to watch a film about a F1 driver. Times will confirmed at a later date.

Then we will set out and take a scenic route through Melbourne along the docklands highway past crown, etihad, southern cross station and waterfront city and past the shipping docks/yards (awesome at night) Then progress north to highpoint.
Its about a 40min drive (11K's)

Sounds good, depending on the times though the city might be really hard to get in and out of.
Also whats parking like at highpoint price wise? I havent been there for a while, and last thing I've heard about highpoint was a guy from works car getting stolen from there haha.

But anyway I'll try come if I'm free, the pit lane will be a awesome place to see some zeds

 

Highpoint parking is free, I haven't had any issues parking there before, always see decent cars rolling about there to. but then again they don't call it knifepoint for no reason

Would be cool if Coburg drive-ins is a go ahead, pretty over HP's 'fight for a park' these days (the underground parking anyway).

I'm interested anyhow, even just for the cruise sounds good.

As session times havnt been posted yet, just thought id help the session times for tommorw night at Highpoint is at 9:10PM...im guessing 9:10PM session will be the time that we will end up watching it...i also checked if it is being shown at the coburg drive-ins and its not so highpoint would be the place to watch it

Also what is the address to the meeting point? Pit lane?

Awesome thanks for the session time, the pit lane is at Aughtie Dr, Albert Park. As the movie is at 9.10 and its a 40 min drive what time do you reckon you will want to meet there? It would be good to have a bit of time to meet, talk and take some photos before we leave for the movie.

 

I finish work at 2 so after that i am free lol but i say around 6 30 should be a good time as it will give plenty of time to kick back and talk and take pics...But its upto mr 0uch as he is organising tommorow

Yea ive been looking at session times, 9.10 is the go!

I was thinking more around 7.30, leave at 8:15.

Weather outlook isnt to flash, so hanging around might be interesting haha
