Hi all, discovered recently that PIAA H3c 'xtremel white' (4150k) bulbs are probably better performing bulbs than reasonably priced HID kits. And the H3c is a direct replacement of the Z32's standard headlight bulbs - so no mucking around with wiring-in & mounting ballasts or trying to get the HID bulbs to sit securely, etc. Just swap bulbs and WOW - great colour (very similar to HID) & a well-lit road! Trouble is, few places sell them http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=piaa+h3c&_sacat=0&_from=R40 Does anyone happen to know of a better priced supplier, thanks in advance!
So wait... You haven't tried these yet? How do you know they are so good? They are probably the same as Phillips 55W 100x jobs?
Was out for a drive the other night & I see a Z backing out of a driveway so stopped to have a chat. Asked what HID's he had & almost feel over when he said they weren't HID's. One minute later he'd pulled one out for me to have a look at. Yes they're expensive but if they do as good or better a job than HIDs but there's no installation - just swap bulbs, got to be a winner. Will try to get some pics - standard bulbs / HIDs / PIAA H3c's.
That's the one! Would prefer not pay $100+ for two bulbs, know where I can get a good deal on these lil gems?
Are these not the same as these Phillips globes? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=230874822720
The Philips globes are H3 not H3c which is what the JDM cars require. The H3c headlights can be modified to suit H3 globes. The range of globes available in H3c is very limited compared to H3. H3 H3c
These are awesome lights, not cheap junk. Double the brightness and a white light which makes a standard light look yellow by comparison. Have them fitted on low and high beam. And also have a set for the spotlights which I will be fitting as soon as time permits.
