I removed stone guard from my fenders, doors and sil panel.

Get a heat gun and start scraping, where the indent is there is a sticker there as well you need to peel off, looks like fine line plastic tape.

Once you scrape it off you will need to sand it down and prime it, then sand it before painting. I used 180 grit on wizza with a softpad and then hi fill primed it, then blocked it flat with 180 again, went upto 320 then finished with 500, then painted.

make sure to keep that gun moving as well and not to close to the paint above the stone guard, you will damage the good paint above it, you wont need to respray the whole door / 1/4 panel. the shop that sprays it can just soft edge above the indent line if you want, unless its a really transparent color or a silver it should be fine to do this otherwise you will need to blend up into the door and 1/4 panels.

You almost never have to use the words "to" or "did"... just search "stone guard removal"
If you do need to search for a 3 letter word that's not in the allowable list, use Google -> "search term" site:aus300zx.com

At least your using a hammer to get most of the dent out.

Another word of advice though, Dont be afraid to use bog to fill dents, Every single panel shop on the planet will use bog on a dent even after using the hammer but your never going to get it flat with using the hammer alone.

edit : unless your glue pulling tiny tiny dents*
edit : again, if the dent is to big you can cut out that section of the sil and weld in a new bit to keep the bog levels a bit lower, im getting this done to the drifter so i dont have to waste time getting the sill pulled on the bench and dont have to waste energy with the hammer.

just make sure to scuff up the dent area REALLY good, something like 36 grit where your gonna fill it with bog, get a block with some 80 to block it flat then you can start priming.

Good advice here. Here's Emile's thread from his respray which I saved for when I pull off my stone guard.

What's really hard is getting it off the OEM rear bar... which is urethane... it's amazingly difficult to sand because it flexes so badly. And when you go too deep with powertools, you have to find a flexible filler. I've spent a heap of time on mine, with it for the most part done, but I'm very worried about how it'll finally come out with some gloss black over it.

(I don't like any aftermarket rear bars)

i didn't take it of my rear bar cause i was gonna get another one anyway but money hasn't let me so far. i don't know if its stone guard on the rear bar that can be scraped off like on the door sil or if its just how the bar is molded.

easiest way to do the rear bar if its molded is just to sand it all down and apply enough coats of hi fill primer to fill the bumpies, then block it down or wizzy it down flat.
