Scary thought

If it so happens (god forbid) i've warped some shit or blown a gasket in the car since my over heating issue, i've narrowed myself down to a few options.

1) Part the car out buy a TT.
2) Rip the engine out and spend ALOT of money putting a V8 in.
3) Buy a TT Half cut.

Just thinking out loud..
However, if i screwed a gasket or warped it from the heat, there would have been a noticable difference in performance right?
Because there wasnt anything noticably wrong other than the smoke pouring out of the engine bay. . .(SaaadFAAACE!)

I'm just trying to prepare for the worst come this week when my mechanic gets back to me.

i would say do a conversion.. because all the effort u have put into the bodywork of the car..

Take the motor out and install a fairy floss machine, that'd be sweet. If you got creative you could hook the exhaust up to it...

Dude wait to see what your mechanic says, but yeah there is a possibility that you've warped the head..

As far as your options, I would only suggest either the v8 or the TT swap IF you're planning to do it yourself / with mates, as they will be very expensive otherwise. Since you've given the car to your mechanic, it's a safe bet you won't planning to do the engine swaps yourself.

If you want a TT it would make more sense (financially) to sell your car (after you fix it) and buy a TT..

Just wait and see what happens, it's not hard to find a decent VG30DE motor if things did go pear shaped..

just buy anuther NA engine they go on here for like 500 bux then swap it.

I am planning to put my spare NA engine in my TT to get around in coz driving the pulsar sux then just take ma time building up the TT

But if I were you I would go find a cheap NA engine or ether do a TT swap.

 

Yeah if it coems to it i may have the throw another NA in there till i can afford to go for the full v8 conversion (mid next year or something.)

BUT!!! if i didnt warp heads or blow gasket then this is all just talk right now

Radiator hoses replaced (tankyou mikey)
Water pump replaced
Timing kit replaced.
hoses replace.

List goes on, but who cares! IM BACK!!!

Took her for a hammer to the car wash, went and told my mechanic i'll be seeing him on the 27th to get the rear dropped.

thank christ that nightmare is over.
