As the title states, the San Diego Automotive Museum has a special exhibit right now dedicated to the history of Datsun/Nissan. They have old Datsun commercials playing on the TV and you can sit on an old car bench seat while watching them. They also have a video of some interview with Mr. K in another area. All in all, I had such an awesome time checking it all out. Anyway, on with the pics. I have about 101 more (containing all sorts of old cars) but these are the Z related ones.
The sticker on the z32 says its the last production Z, end of a lineage 1996?? Weren't these cars in production until 1999??
Shows the arrogance of some people, they would know that production continued for outside of the American market but not bother to mention it & even infer that it all stopped when the yanks didn't buy any more. Nice pictures
280's are ugly as a bushfire after being put out with a pitch-fork... Only thing uglier is the z concept lol
LOL I agree sort of, I have owned A 280ZX 2+2 and the lines on them are really ugly, the 2 seater they are not so bad and work quite well within their limitations. The 280z however is a lot more like a 260z and I think is where the company should have left the 280z line. But remember I am one of those very few that does not mind the veilside front end so yes my sense of style is obviously......... not to most peoples liking.
But just look at that ad! Driving a 280ZX Black Gold edition will instantly score you some sweet disco-pussy...
Nice post. I'd love to rock up to this with a 1999 JDM spec Z32 and confuse them ..... Any idea if the Shin Yoshikawa prints are available anywhere? I'd love a copy of the Stillen Z32!
