Just curious after reading the safety boost override section in tech.

Basically grounding the wire from the ecu (wire 24 i think it was) is that all that is needed to override it?

    Thanks

Why would you want to do that ?

Fix the problem that's causing it instead.

    I agree with steff... however

id do it as a tempory fix untill you have the cash to do the job properly. it is a rather large job.

i certainly wouldnt leave it that way.

btw i used another tech article when i did mine which said to use a 1000ohm resistor. or was that 10k .... that was ages ago and i have since replaced the sensor.

just remember you have no knock protection with out it.. so if you run some realy bad fuel in your car you ecu wont detect the knocking and damage your engine overtime.

of course I'm going to only use it for a temp solution, if at all. I'm not stupid, had 300's long enough to do the job properly.

got about 10 things to do tomorrow and there are only so many hours of daylight.

    Thanks for the answer.
