im about to get a vipec ecu for my 300zx its much like a power fc in that it just plugs in but a heaps better product than the power fc , but the only problem like a fc is that they dont make them for zed .
I remember seeing on here which wires to switch around to get a skyline ecu working on a zed but i just cant find it any where does any one have a link to some instructions for it

Check the Nistune site, there is a how to on there for Z32 ecu into R33's.

Would a stock 33 ecu be ok in a zed? I can get them much cheaper then zed ecu. I know what has to be done but unsure if it's worth it

no . zed ecu is 150 bucks if that for the correct model and no re-wiring !! why bother

Quote from a email i got from the LINK guys (Same hardware as Vipec)

"There are a few wire's that need to be cut and swapped (Our's is also compatible with the R34 GTR and causes some clashes)
    1. Pin 19 needs to be cut and joined to pin 6 (Fan Drives)
    2. Pin 35 cut and joined to Pin 104 (FP Control)
    3. Pin 8 needs to be Cut (R34 Key-On signal)
    4. Pin 34 moved to Pin 19 (Power steering DI)
    5. In some cases the Fuel Pump relay is 'hot fed' and can keep the ECU powered up, this might need to be changed to an ignition switched source."
