This cage came in my car when i got it. I removed it my self, and have all the parts down to the last bolt and nut necessary for installing it.

$400. I'm in brisbane, but have access to cheap interstate couriers.

Got any pics of it in your car or what trim panels have to be modified /removed for it to fit. How much to ship to Penrith NSW 2747

    Cheers

    Hi Jason
Here are some pics of it in my car:

On both sides of the rear seats in our cars, (where your left arm would be if your setting on the left in the rear, or right arm on the right) there is like this trim that is coverd in what i think is a cheap vinal. You have to cut holes in that which is very easy, to have access to the body. Apart from that and the obvious bolting in of the cage, nothing else has to be done from memory.

    Hope that helps

    Pretty keen

Is it alloy or full steel I can see its covered in the protective material (headsaver). Any idea on shipping cost to my location

    Same as mine Jason!

I think mine is coated mild steel although could be chrome moly as its pretty light for the thickness of the tubing. Fit is pretty tight and had to trim some of the protector foam to keep the interior mostly intact. Made a big difference to the handling of the car. Much stiffer and more prodictable in and out of corners. I will be adding some extra braces to mine in the back for the harness and and a diagonal also, your welcome to have a look at mine to get an idea,

I couldn't tell you if it was alloy for full steel. But like wokburner said it makes a big difference to the handling of the car. And its lighter then it looks.

There was another one for sale a while ago that was the same setup as mine.

As for postage, it is the weekend, so i cant find out exact costs right now. It is a bit of a bulky item, however it can be taken apart further, I don't see it costing more then $75 if properly broken down. Could be cheaper.

I would be very keen to find out whether it would be easy to have them reproduced and then to possibly organise a group buy?

I think it would be quite popular, if the buyer is interested of course! :zlove:

Hey mate, sorry i couldn't sell it to you.

Shipping would have cost you an absolute shit load. If you could have organised shipping etc then i would have sold it to you.

I had russel interested in it before you so i sold it to him.

    Thanks

that's not what you told me on phone...
If you wanted me to organise the shipping, i could have done it easily as my friend work for an international freight company.

    Let's stop this, it's sold, it's sold.
Is it possible that the buyer make a nice draw of it and then I may be able to reproduce it here in France.
One in France cost me 4000? (around 6000$ australian)....

Are okay i get it know I thought you bought the cage and thought I had bought it or something thats cool it wasnt me. You may want to check with the Eurpoean rules and regs as these jap spec cages do not comply to australian cams specs so i would think they definately wouldnt for Euro specs as they are usually more stringent. Its not the cage itself thats the issue its the actual assembly clamps used that cause the issue with Cams and have to be welded to form a solid structure. But still would have been cheaper to buy it fit it and weld it than starting from scratch. Hope you get it all sorted.
