So this is a short track consisting of about a 1 minute run. The first run I didn't get on video. The three runs I had after my first botch are here on video. I missed 5 gates the first run which I didn't get on video. Due to two cones just being in no man's land and thinking I had to go outside of them I missed one gate on runs 2 and 3. Then my fourth run I had an instructor ride with me only to tell me where I was missing the gate on the first big hairpin, like tons of people that day were doing. After my 4th run the instructor was speechless and said he couldn't find anything wrong with my driving at all. He said it was a really fast run. The only thing he told me was, "You need to get your other hand on the steering wheel! I didn't want to interrupt your run because you were doing so well but DRIVE WITH 2 HANDS!!!"

I definitely was the only guy with a dirt bike helmet and Blue Atlas work gloves on out there! Ghetto style for the win!!!

Here is the track setup. You can see the two outer cones on the first hairpin. I was going outside of those cones. lmao. The deductions are 10 seconds for each gate missed and 5 seconds for each cone hit.

So actually the titles to the videos are wrong.

Run #1 is not on video(the one where I miss 5 freaking gates lol)
Run #2 is actually called "Cory run #1" (missed one gate at the first hairpin)
Run #3 is actually called "Cory run #2" (missed the same gate first hairpin)
Run #4 is actually called "Cory run #3" (had an instructor tell me to not miss the hairpin gate. He called it and I ran the course flawlessly.)

I only hit one cone that whole day out of 8 runs and lost control only one time but I regained and finished without missing a gate or hitting any cones.

My best run on the sheets was 57.479. That was only time on video I actually ran the course without missing a gate. After that run I didn't miss a gate or hit a cone.

My best run not on paper (still using the timing system) for the "Fun Runs" at the end of the day was 54.117!

So look at the time sheets and the type of cars I was running with there were some very nice cars there.

I am VERY happy with my time of 54.117 clean run.

Oh and most of these guys are running "Racing" compound tires...I was running the tires that I bought with my new wheels that are from 1997 date stamp. If I had good tires I would have been able to run waaaaay faster.

Sorry for the sound quality but something was screwed up with the camera...Enjoy...

    Run # 2 called "Cory run #1"...

Run #3 called "Cory run #2"...

Run #4 called "Cory run #3" First time I got the course right and I had a passenger...

These times correlate with the times posted on the "Time Only" section of the boards. I am on the last page of the time sheets.

    I am "Cory Frazier #333 1990 Nissan 300ZX GS"

Here are all of the results for the day minus the "Fun Runs".

Also keep in mind that I ran a 54.117 up against these cars... only with crappy old and moldy tires. =)

Basically I came in 44th out of 117 cars total. Most running full autocross setups. I am very very happy with the results from Blue. She is a ripper to say the least. Especially since I only have maybe 15k into my car and others have hundreds of thousands. =) =) =)

The Lotus was the winner for the event by far and waaaaay out of class compared to the cars there.

So also here are some pics of the guys I was running with...I was really amazed that my Z did this well up against these guys that come out and trailer their cars here for these events. Some have over 100k into their cars...easy. Some very nice Porsches at the track that day.

The 993 next to me is my buddy who invited me to the event. Our times were basically dead even.

OOOPPPPS!!! I forgot to add these pics that some girl at the track took and sent me for 20 bucks...

There is one where my front wheel is ALMOST off the ground. With some other than stock Sway Bars I would be able to accomplish that feat!

    Here ya go...

So there was a girl at the track taking some pics. She just got a hold of me with some of me actually running...

    Thanks Stacey!!!

    Enjoy...

Since then my car has been lowered a touch more and the alignment has been done profesionally. In stead of me in my shop with tape measures and Carpenter's squares!

And my Fascia (Front Bar) has been painted to boot!

What colour is that mate? I thought it was Silver, then it looks like a pale blue in some photo's.

Either way, she's nice, even before you got the nose 'powdered' :p

Lol, just read the entire thread. With a name like "blue", I guess the question's been answered. :)
