    hi all,
am thinking about the future. want to get sum sexy rims sumtime in the future. whats the deal tho? i heard you have to get a permit for anything bigger than 7" wide. how much does a permit cost if this is the case? also, what width rims will still fit inside the body of the car? im not keen on rolled guards or flares and can only dream of the phat rear quaters.

Don't know about needing a permit

Stock wheels on the Z are 7.5 wide. Lots of members run bigger - check out the post by BlueZ below for a start. Try search for further info.

    Different states have different rules....>>

When it comes to modified vehicles. I would suggest either checking with your local registration body or waiting for a WA member to answer your question. From memory though WA has tighter rules on wheels then most of the other states.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Aside from any state regulations, changing rim size from stock will probably affect your insurance quote.
    Please check.
