been trying to dig up info on this but just got myself confused so ill try and explain i have the 9.5inch x 18 x 25et already but sticks out a bit much. only other rim size is in 30et but is larger rim by an inch. 10.5inch x 18 x 30et how many mm does the 25et rim stick out compared to the 30et rim that is larger rim. the 2 rims i am comparing 9.5inch x 18 x 25et 10.5inch x 18 x 30et
for future reference, use the online wheel offset calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
When it come to calculating rims sizes, it can be put into... Rim Size which im sure you know. Rim width which is the 10.5" in this case. Just convert that to millimeter to get the width. So the total width of the rim is 10.5*25.4=266.7mm To find out how much more it will stick out from the center point (wheel hub), you just need to divide that total width by half [266.7/2=133.35mm] and that will be the how far the rim would sit out from the center point if your offset is zero. So last of all, the offset (AKA ET or JJ) can be subtracted or added to that half width.(assuming that the offset is positive) Subtract it from the half width and you will get the width outwards from the center point by. [133.35-30=103.35mm] Add it to the width to get the width inwards from the center point 18"x9.5"x25et (Width on the inside: 145.65mm) (Width on the outside: 95.65mm) 18"x10.5"x25et (Width on the inside: 168.35mm) (Width on the outside: 103.35mm)
thanks. i thought the 10.5inch would stick out more so time to make the et25 fit i have 255s on them. not far off from them fitting. roll the guard a little. slight pump and should have it with about 1 degree camber. the fronts are same but with 235 on them looks aggressive. they will get me by for now. but they came off my skyline Rota GTR-D matt black rims got some nice dish on them and have plenty of room for a brake upgrade thats coming soon.
If many people read you have Rota's, you'll get chewed out... So many haters out there. They're a brilliant looking load of wheels, but people cry cause they're not JDM AS **** BRO! -_-"
they should be fine just for the street.. had mine for a while now and they're still fine... Drive on some pretty shitty roads down south as well.
yeah not going to track them but was alot better than what was on it befor. these will just be my street rims and will have another good set with proper tires on them for track.
