My FPCU recently died and I'm wanting to either permanently remove it or try and get it repaired/replaced. The problem is that I just can't see any way to get the bastard thing off the car body. I can easily see the unit but it appears to be attached to a plate that appears permanently fixed to the car body. Does anyone have experience with this that can please offer me some advice? I've got a 2 seater btw.

    For Sale

FYI There's one of these in the for sale section at the moment $15.

I have nothing to do with the sale...

    Cheers.

The one for sale is from an NA and my car is a TT -- would I be right in thinking they're different? They have different numbers on them.

Anyway, I worked out how to remove the thing and got the bitch out. Not the most fun experience in the world but Z maintenance/work always seems to be trying. Yet thankfully the experience of driving the car makes all the pains worthwhile.:zlove:

Still debating whether I'll get the unit replaced/fixed or simply do without.
