I guys, I've misplaced my keys (probably packed them) and need to put my zed on a car trailer to move in 2 days. How can I remove the steering lock without the keys? Feel free to PM me, keep the information away from the thieves if you like. Is there a way?

Seriously, how do you miss place the keys to your zed.

Anyway, pay for a mobile locksmith, he will be able to make you a new key from the barrel, and its safer as 1 you will have to prove the vehicle is yours for his safety, and 2 he will get you a decent key cut and you know your vehicle will be safe after with out damage.

Drill the bolts out and take the lock to the locksmith. Took me 10 mins to drill them out and cost $35 at the locksmith. Bolted it back on with cap head screws.

Zed hasn't had an engine in it for about 12 months. Im sure they'll turn up, this is just in case.

Cheers guys, I'll drill the bolts out if I can't find them.

Just take the boot lock out, easier that stuffing around to get the ignition barrel off.

If you dont have an engine in the car, disconnect the steering shaft at the rack and turn the wheels by hand.

Ohhh haha, I missed the post about taking the lock to a locksmith. I thought "did this guy even read the thread" boy is my face red.

Found the keys under my microwave of all places. The steering column advise was good, what I was looking for. Cheers all
