recycling zed bits

    well I got sick and tired of having sh#t everywhere and stuff just not selling so I decided a trip to sims metal today.

    Here is a list of how much you roughly get for the bits (Not much)

    Block, crank rods = $12 ($140 a tonne)
    Bare Heads = $13 each
    radiator with plastic shrouds = $1.20 lol :confused:
    battery = $4.50

    ...meanwhile, zed parts in australia are plummeting as people realize their 'actual' value....

    there is just too many people parting them out also.
    probaly a year or 2 ago I could have got about 80 bucks for the block, crank an rods.

    i would have taken teh block etc, must have missed the add...

    well your in luck I have another lol (block, crank girdle and rods) and it will go to recycle also. just my charade could not carry it today.

    ive sent an ef wagon,n lx torana ,1 skip bin with 12 motors init and also lots of suspention parts also a shit load of alloy parts ,,i get the cash 2morrow,hope its more then u got :(

    because heads are cast its worth less. about 90 cents a kilo.
    domestic copper is what ya want .. $5.20 a kilo
    if your alloy has a bit of metal attached to it they only give you 35 cents a kilo
    I still remember the ugly kid in the coke can add in the 80s saying comalco will give you 60 cents a kilo. LOL
