Hey all, Just quickly, wondering if anyone knows a good auto electrician or specialised that could help diagnoise my current zed issue (or any links to past forum threads that talk about how to check them yourself) Basically we have pulled apart the top 1/4 of the engine, nothing mechanical, spark plugs getting spark, cyclinders fine, everything mechanical looks in order Issue: When I start the car, Hicas light comes on, only once a day, can stay on for 5 sec to 2min. The DASH lights are way dimmer then normal (have check dim switch, it's on full) The AIR CON light (the one that displays temp and actions etc) Dimms so much you can't see it. The clock only dims as per normal, it's only a/c and dash (speedo) that dim way more then normal. My Guess: It's a faulty wire or something is shorting and not working correctly. Possibly wire looms gone, too old and bigger issue then just one item, fingers crossed it's not. Any ideas or suggestions welcome Also thinking I may need to drop it off to a specialist. I live just past Penrith at the start of the mountains and work in Parra, but happy to see almost anyone in Sydney area, especially if they can at least point me in the right direction and or potentially a quick diagnosis ie I can't afford to spend big $$$ at the moment, so wanting to do the bulk of the work, but for the life of me can't find the issue. Besides the dim dash, the boost plays up around -3 to +5. Again guessing cause it's an electronic issue and the profec b is electronic, it's not getting a clean signal and hence the needle vibrates when coming on boost. It lags and feels wrong till you go past +5 and then cars normal again. Clean boost once on boost, but till then lags about and doesn't like it Guessing this could also be a blown sensor maybe, again electronic and I don't know how to check if your sensors are working or not. Would conzult be able to tell ??? (I can't believe I never got mine back, now when I might need it ) Any tech days coming soon ? especially by someone with conzult Adrian
