rear window rubber

    Hi all were is the best place to aquire a new rear window rubber as mine has gone hard and shrunk a little a heads would be great.

    Any Nisan dealer should be able to get it in for you, however the cost is a tad high - $175.00. :mad:

    any window guy should be able to replace this for you with a universal rubber....tektrade had this done and costed him like 25bux i think...looks fine to me ;)

    Does anyone know where you can get it in chrome?

    Rubber doesn't chrome very well. It is rather soft, so the very very hard chrome falls off

    but true

    i think he wants chrome strips (not the rubber bit) like some cars have around windows etc

    No, what he really wants is a Hyundai Excel with "I've been to Bali" cushions in the rear window(but he's too embarrassed to say so).:p:p:bash::zlove:

    thanks lads

    will skip the chrome to retro even for a hyundi :biggrin: :biggrin:
    will head down to my local windscreen joint and see whate they have to replace it.

    I can tell

    you what the windscreen joint has, FA to suite your zed! If you want it to look good get the nissan part, its expensive thats for sure, but it ant ugly.

    i spoke to a few windscreen places, they can do the rubber but said it wouldn't look too good. better off ordering from nissan.
    i ordered from coz - around $300 delivered for all 4 bits.
    top part, u part, and the corner pieces.

    I have the Nissan rear window seal and corner mouldings in stock, $205.00 I don't keep stock of the top strip normally, but will get a price tomorrow.

    The top moulding for the rear hatch glass is ex-Japan(1-2 weeks) and costs $134.00. There are 4 clips for it and they are $1.70ea.
