Have an oz delivered 91 300zx 4 seater The rear speakers are a little dodgy and need replacing. I Don't want to do any cosmetic modification to change them over. Does anyone have any advice of what type of speakers would fit in without detroying the originality of my zed? Also maybe some advice on the front speakers if anyone has any ideas. Cheers
Put the same size speakers that are already in there goto JB HI or somewhere that sell speakers and pick up a set :zlove:
Thanks for that. Yeah I assumed some speakers would slot straight in. Any brand that you could suggest? What is the best? What is the best value? What should I avoid?
you could get like JBL, pioneer the list goes on they price range does very... Dont get sony... they are not too good... http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251654 This thread might give you some idea of what people have in the rear...
I run a set of JBL GTO 6425E direct fit in same factory location good response and power handling for a smallish speaker. Dont know how much cant remember.
i went with nakamichi because i wanted high ends speaker and they were the only brand that did a good speeker in a 5" by 7" (i think it is) speaker for the back
I'm pretty sure it's a 4" x 6" Eclipse makes a decent 4" x 6" which I believe is what the factory speakers are.

Hi Mervan, I have Boston 6x4s in the back of my grey Ausspec Zed and they're a good speaker. 6 x 4's were the stock speaker size in my Aussie Zed. I'm not sure how much they cost. However, just about any reasonable quality speaker in the back will be fine as those speakers do nothing more than add background. There have been other posts on this in the past that you may want to check out. As you can imagine, Sound comes up fairly often. For example, Geoff posted on this not too long ago, and there was some discussion on overall sound setup in a Zed: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=249481 Cheers, Peter
